Hosted by our friends at the Shames Mountain Ski and Snowboard Club, we stoked to bring you the inaugural Hit & Run.
A freeride competition is a snowsport event where skiers race down a natural mountain face, performing tricks and drops while navigating obstacles like gullies, and rock faces. The best run wins.
4 judges looking for:
– control ( were you putting your hand down ” were you in control ” )
– line pick ( was it a easy way or hard way down the run )
– over all impression (wow factor)
All podium placements get a prize/ Largest category gets best prizes
This big mountain competition will see the best riders and skiers compete on Shames’ infamous Tossed Salad (12 & under) and on Hangover (13+). Thank you to: Tourism Terrace | Explore Northwestern, Tourism Prince Rupert and Kitimat Bound.

Saturday February 1st on Tossed Salad:
12 and under categories: 7-8 / 9-10 / 11-12 Male / Female Ski / Snowboard
Sunday February 2nd on Hangover:
13+ categories: Male / Female Ski / Snowboard
On Line Registration : $25.00
Max 40 athletes per day for the event.
Day of Event Registration : $ 25.00 9 am – 11 am Ski Club Trailer .
Location: Tossed Salad
Event Start : 12 pm top of Tossed Salad Last athlete on course 3 PM
Awards 3:45 PM
