Getting Here

It’s easier to get here than you may think! Our piece of paradise may be remote, but our epic powder is worth the trip.

The newly expanded and renovated Northwest Regional Airport (YXT) is a quick 90 minute flight from Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Air Canada, West Jet, and Central Mountain Air operate several direct daily flights.

Once you arrive, rental car outlets can have a vehicle ready for you at the airport. It’s less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Terrace and a 30 minute drive from Terrace to the powder at Shames.

By Air

By Car

Whether you’re arriving at the airport and renting a car, or driving from Prince Rupert, Smithers, or a longer road trip, be sure to check Drive BC for winter road conditions.

Things to Do

Après ski anyone?

After a full day of riding there are lots of things to do while staying in Terrace. We often have events happening right at the mountain, or warm up in the Shames Mountain Lodge. Back at your accommodation, relax in the hot tub or sauna! When it’s time to eat, Terrace has lots of great options for cafés, restaurants, pubs, fast food & takeout. Need to shop?  We love our local artisans!

Terrace is known for it’s great music and arts & culture scene.  Be sure to check out what’s happening in town and join our locals for a great time.
