Changes for 2024-2025: Age categories will shift slightly as of July 1st 2024. This will allow MMC-Shames Mountain to be the first ski hill in Canada to offer unlimited FREE SKIING to all kids 12 and Under. The age changes will see the following adjustments:
Age Categories
- Child increased to 12 years old
- Junior 6 to 12 year old category eliminated
- Youth to drop to 18-years-old
- Adult now 19+
Guests who have already or will purchase a Junior Season Pass for the 2024-2025 ski season prior to July 1st, will have their Junior Passes converted to Child Passes. This will take place after the age and price changes take effect on July 1st. The price difference between the two products will be refunded to the purchaser’s profile as resort credits.
2023-2024 Books of 12 will be honoured at their old age categories. Any season passes purchased prior to July 1st, 2024 will be honoured at the old age categories. The Frozen Super Early Bird Pass Sale ends June 30th, 2024. BUY NOW to get the lowest price on your 2024-2025 Season Pass.
FREE SKIING for Kids 12 and under was sponsored by E360 Solutions during the second half of the 2023-2024 season. MMC-Shames Mountain is still working on securing a sponsor for the 2024-2025 season.
Following recommendations from the Pricing Committee, the following was accepted by the MMC-Shames Mountain Board of Directors:
Age Category changes:
- Changes to the Youth age range to match industry standard
- Moving Youth age range back to 13-18 years old
- Changes to the Adult age range to match industry standard
- Adult is now 19-64 years old
- Reasons for this are threefold
- Keep our age range in line with other ski hills
- Complementing our free uphill add-on for Youth (U19 can’t sign waivers and waivers are not legally enforceable for U19)
- Easy visual identification of who is legally allowed to be served alcohol, or enter beer gardens
- Reasons for this are threefold
- Adult is now 19-64 years old
- Changes to the Child age category extending range to 0 -12.
- Implement the U12 free lift ticket program matching the existing Child free program for the U6 age.
- increasing the Child age group from 0-6 to 0-12
- Free daily lift ticket
- Member Season Pass = $21 (includes GST)
- Non-Season Pass = $126 (includes GST)
The Pricing Committee also recommended:
- Changes to Adult Season Pass and Day Ticket Pricing
- The Post Secondary Student Pass reverts to its former criteria of requiring three students to purchase together to be eligible for the discounted product.
