February 27, 2024 by Shames Staff in News

Dear Friends Members,

On Wednesday February 28th we will having our first on mountain staff day in the Coop era. The Staff will be skiing in T-bar land only. We will be up there skiing and BBQing from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

We are also using this opportunity to do some final testing towards receiving authority and insurance coverage to download guests back to the base area on our chairlift. This is something we have been working towards preparations for a situation where the lower mountain was again to become un-skiable. We would have a solution to keep going in upper mountain. We do not intend to be downloading any guest yet, but these are key steps in our future. Top chair weddings, sightseeing, and other opportunities are getting closer to being real.

The ski is not closed to the public, but the lifts will be. Any public coming skiing on Wednesday February 28th should familiarize themselves with the ski hill’s uphill policy. The T-bar will be for staff only.  Please take this opportunity to thank our staff for all their hard work and wish them a wonderful staff day on their mountain.

Sincerely,

Christian Theberge
