We can confirm that the missing snowboarder was found earlier today just outside of the Shames Mountain boundary and has been transported to Mills Memorial Hospital. We are not able to release any more information than this.
Out of consideration for him, his family, our staff and our patrons, we have made the decision to close the mountain for the rest of the day today and tomorrow. Shames Mountain is also closed on Christmas Day. We will reopen for regular business on Boxing Day, December 26.
We thank all those who assisted in today’s search including our staff and Terrace Search and Rescue for their dedication, support and expertise.
