Junior Lift Tickets (7 to 12 years old) will be free for the remainder of the 2023-24 ski season.
E360 Environmental Solutions’ new Terrace Location is proud to support the community by covering budgeted revenue for that age category. To the tune of $20,000. This will ensure MMC-Shames Mountain hits its expected budget for the Junior age category, while giving a much-needed boost to attendance, with trickle down effects in such areas as food and beverage, rentals, and lessons. E360 recognizes the importance of assets such as the ski hill in rural areas. Skiing represents a fun inclusive family-oriented activity and plays an important role in regional workplace attraction and retention.
The contribution will only cover Regular Junior Lift Tickets for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season. Other Junior tickets, like those from School or Group bookings will remain at their heavily discounted price.
This generous contribution from a new Terrace-based business will help grow future ski families at MMC-Shames Mountain and elsewhere in the province.
“We are thrilled to see a new community partner emerge following E360’s purchase of Geier Waste last spring. Living in a rural area like Terrace, assets like the ski hill play a very important part in the growing of our community. Shames is a key workplace attraction and retention tool that draws and retains new professionals to our region. This initiative hits all our Cooperative’s cornerstones: Innovative, Collaborative, Sustainability and Affordability. We are very proud to be a part of it,” says Christian Theberge, General Manager at MMC-Shames Mountain.
For those who have purchased a Jr Season Pass for the 2023-2024 season, we are delighted to offer a 50% refund (minus the $20 admin), this refund will be in the form of Resort Credit. The Resort Credit does not expire and will be applied to the billing contact for each Jr Season Passholder. Resort credit can be used in our cafeteria, bar, rental shop, and snow school – you can save the Resort Credit and apply to next seasons season pass.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the rest of the business community that have and are starting to offer us support. Asking for help is too often seen as a sign of weakness, we see it as a sign of strength. Knowing our limits and knowing when we must rely on the assistance of our community to support us. Sincerely
