Climate Change Resiliency Project: Phase 4 – Blasting, Sorting and Placing Materials

Our Climate Change Resiliency Project is making great strides and we are due to enter an exciting new phase this coming Monday (June 24th). Following our rescheduled material generating blast, heavy equipment in the form of dozers, excavators and rock trucks from both Rollyworks, and Progressive Ventures Ltd. will sort, and spread the material to the various infill areas. We are very fortunate and excited to have such incredible and flexible community partners involved in the project.  Both Rollyworks and Progressive Ventures Ltd. are home grown North West businesses, who understand the value of healthy outdoor family oriented activities. MMC-Shames Mountain is proud to be partnering with both of the businesses.

For safety reasons, we will close access to the base area from Monday to Friday until further notice. This transformative project would not be possible without the help of incredible community partners. We would like to take the opportunity to showcase:

Progressive Ventures Ltd.: Since 1972, they have been a stalwart presence in the Northwest, dedicated to serving with pride and commitment. Their safety-first approach has propelled them to become a leading full-service general contracting company. Their broad range of services from trucking, earthworks, design and constructions services, and everything in between. Progressive Ventures focuses on their clients’ vision. They have a community minded approach, and take pride in customizing projects to their customers individual requirements. Progressive Ventures partnered with MMC-Shames Mountain back in 2021 for the construction of our equipment and sand storage building. We are proud to be partnering again with Progressive Ventures on the Climate Change Resiliency Project.
