Dear Friends, Members, Season Pass holders, and Visitors to Shames Mountain.
As many of you experienced during the last few days, we have seen an unprecedented number of people visiting our mountain.
As a result, we have decided to move onto a Daily Ticket Cap System for our non-season pass holders. This will help us control the number of visitors and ensure our mountain’s overall capacity does not exceed 800 skiers/borders. This is a third of the mountain ski area run capacity. This is necessary to maintain our ability to keep our staff, guests and community safe. This will also ensure our beloved ski hill stays in operation during these unprecedented times.
We want to reassure our Season Pass holders that they are welcome every day we are open no matter how many day tickets are sold. Shred Carpets, Books of 12, Straight to Lifts, Reloads and Gift Tickets purchased prior to December 24nd, will be exempt from our Daily Ticket Cap System and have been taken into account with our cap. Pre booked lessons or Goodfoot Camp registrants will be exempt from our Daily Ticket Cap System.
We appreciate that these are challenging times and wish to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to each and every one of you who support our ski hill.
Our new Daily Ticket Cap System will see a set number of day tickets available for each day of operation.
To purchase a Daily Cap Ticket, you can visit our Town Office, the Shames Mountain’s Ticket Office, or our Online Resort Store (https://mymountaincoop.resortstore.net/en/) you will need to pick a specific day for the Daily Cap Ticket to be used. If buying online for your visit, you will need to create an online account with our Webstore.
If you need to cancel a Daily Cap Ticket, you must tell us 72 hours prior to the day of your visit. Cancelation involves refunding your purchase to free up the spot for someone else. The refunded purchase can take 5 to 10 business days to be reflected on your credit card. Cancellations must contact us via email at [email protected]. If you simply do not show up on the day of your scheduled Daily Cap Ticket, your ticket cannot be refunded or rescheduled to another day.
We understand that this change will take some getting used to but from December 26th we will only be selling tickets at the hill if there are spots that remain available. For the first few weeks of this new system, we will be capping our daily ticket sales to 200. We strongly recommend purchasing ahead of time on our resort store online. If you have not pre-purchased your ticket online, please be prepared to possibly be turned away if our capacity has been met.
Sincerely
Christian Therberge
