Whether you’re a seasoned berry picker or trying it for the first time\, the festival offers something for everyone. \n\nActivities & Attractions\nInformation Station\nUnder the Blue Arches\, open 10:00am until close\nIncludes info on: \n\nWhere to find blueberries\nTypes of berries found on Shames Mountain\nUses for the berries\n\n  \nShames Mountain Blueberry Jam! \nNew this year! Shames Mountain Blueberry Jam! We will buy your blueberries (for resort credit) and use those harvested berries to make some delicious blueberry jam. \nColouring Station\nLocated inside the Day Lodge\, open 10:00am until close \nBBQ by Donation\nNext to the Blue Arches\, from 11:30am to 3:00pm \nChairlift Rides\nThe Blue Chair will run from 11:00 AM to 3:30pm – $5 chairlift rides. \n\nOne-way only: All riders must walk down\nWalking down without picking berries takes ~30 minutes\n\n\nSafety & Participation Guidelines\n\nChildren 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult\nMinimum age to walk down the mountain: 5 years old\nNo rides down the chairlift\nAll chairlift riders MUST be able to walk down unaided\nWear appropriate footwear for the chairlift and hiking down\nUpper mountain is wilderness—no facilities available\nBring suitable clothing and gear\nDogs are welcome but are not able to ride the chair. Dogs must be on leash until tower 3. Please ensure your dog has good recall.\nBring water for the upper mountain. It is a perfect opportunity to savor delicious food while supporting the community. \nReturning this summer will be the opportunity to ride our chairlift up and pick berries on the way down (walking down without picking berries takes approximately 30 minutes). All proceeds from the event support the operations and future of our ski hill.\n\nShames Mountain is unique. It’s not owned by a corporation or private investors — it’s owned by its members and supported by the community.
